Environmental Sculpture by Barbara Kobler ART TO RAISE AWARENESS OF LOSS OF ENVIRONMENT |
Most of my sculptural work represents the inseparable inter-connectedness of man and environment. Most are expressionistic representations of habitats; whether they are natural or man-made, on land, water or air. Most are inspiried by current sociological, economic or political current events reflecting loss, or failure to thrive, due to natural disasters, pollution, war, unawareness or other negative influences. Some respond to physical places. Others symbolize inner spiritual habitats. They are made with paperclay, stones, steel, concrete and wood. Some are interactive and kinetic. |
